I accompany my paintings with thoughts that express my inspiration or motivation, which, with a spatula and brush, create an image to be shared with lovers of the arts and nature. I wish to reestablish the connection between human consciousness and the "sacred jungle" to awaken and influence, with some action, any action that contributes to raising our respect for Mother Nature, which is the source of our own life.
My best paintings happen when when I paint, I enter a chaotic world, I lose my preconceived thought - like a "clean one", which leaves me with a clean slate - and after continuing lost in space-time, groping and trying, it turns on me a light, a new form, a new knowledge, which before was like a rumor, that I managed to catch up to
that I felt it in my bones, and
I captured with paint, as I could, to make it my truth, my best way of thinking. I think creativity happens only if it emerges from chaos. I cannot be creative when I am still anchored in the past.
This collection is inspired by Nicaraguan landscapes, forests, trees, rivers, beaches and seas that give our country that unique beauty.
I wish to raise awareness especially now in the face of the danger that threatens us due to the accelerated self-destruction of the two great reserves of forests, that the destruction and the fires caused by "civilization" that threaten to destroy our pristine natural beauties in a few years. I take back from our poet Alfonso Cortés a stanza from his poem - Fugue from Autumn 1913:
“Everything here, even time, becomes space.
In the old
paths our voice errs like a forgetfulness,
already an ether full of memories has left
the soul of us, to see us from afar. "
